Sulfasalazine is the active ingredient in Sazo 500.

Sulfasalazine is mainly used for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is also effective in several types of arthritis, particularly rheumatoid arthritis.

I am 30, mother of 7 yrs baby, using sazo 500 more then 2 yrs. if discontinued , pain attack much, by prolonged use what will be the side effect ? Now I want to be pregnant , may I ? during pragnancy may I continue the medicine ? Pl. reply.
