Actavis Percocet Sucks

ive been on watson oxy/apap 10/325 for years, and they have always worked wonderfully. last month it was changed to actavis and it feels as if i'm taking HALF THE DOSE! it's HORRIBLE, and not only does it NOT work, it looks just like a tylenol or a norco; white and oblong.
my sweet walgreens pharmacist called EVERY pharmacy in my town asking if they carry any watson brand percocet and they have ALL HAVE BEEN REPLACED by this crap brand. i've tried endocet, which is even worse... so now i'm on the hunt to search the town over for any remaining watson. my straight oxy has been changed to KVK brand, and it's nothing like watson, but it isn't completely worthless.
i'm so glad i came on here because i really thought it was just me. i thought 'how could i possible be having so much breakthrough pain and flare-ups, coinciding with my new pills'? CUZ IT'S THE PILLS, NOT ME!!
~~ i just read that we CAN do something other than complain. and that is to CALL THE FDA AND COMPLAIN! if enough people complain DIRECTLY to the FDA about actavis oxy, they will have to do an investigation and something WILL change.
and since actavis has taken over watson, we're all screwed unless we demand something be done.

At some point there may not be any Watson's left, especially with all the newer tablets coming out on the market. It seems like their just trying to slowly phase Watson out of the picture altogether.

With enough complaints the FDA may eventually do something about it, but maybe it's the manufacturer who we should be contacting as well, in hopes that they'd consider changing their formula down the road. I think the key here is to make sure that enough disappointed people call, start petitions, or file complaints via email. There's plenty of related threads here on this site with people who are willing to band together a group of patients to set things in motion. But like any process, it will take time and patience.

In the mean while, I hope others (including yourself) are finding alternative ways to manage or cope with the pain. Hang in there and stay strong!

I called 4 different pharmacies and they've all switch to either Actavis or Amneal. I think the FDA has silently changed the original formulas to phase them out.

This is a disaster for pain sufferers. Its no coincidence that Watson and Malikradodt arnt used anymore as patients will think they got a bad batch or something and they have to replace them. I cannot believe they would pull the rug out from under patients like this. I really hope there's some other reason. Its either brand name percocets which are ridiculously expensive or ??? Any one have any ideas about a meds that works ?

Here's the punchline: Activis bought Watson. PS: Their generic adderall also sucks and does not work at all.

I called 888-INFO-FDA Today & requested 6 forms. In the last year I have been the VICTIM of these Pharmaceutical Brands:

Mallinckrodt, Amneal, Qualitest, AVL, & BOCA.

Well that is 5, sorry. Watch out for any companies owned by Mallinckrodt or ENDO which is owned by Mallinckrodt. And You ARE Right!! It is NOT US. They reformulated the decent generics AFTER buying the companies. I k now that for sure!! 50 mgs in today. No relief. Stomach is hard as a rock & in pain. Cramps & Spasms since 4 days ago when I got stuck with this witches brew. Tension headache 1/4 of thhe way down my back from my head, right eye in pain, god awful taste in my mouth & serious ringing in my ears. No, It is NOT US!!! 27 DAYS TO GO B4 I have to ask 4 & not leave a pharmacy without a GUARANTEED OPIOID CONTAINING PAIN MED. JEEZ, Those greedy bastards.........I would hate to reap what they sow......Exactly WHEN are they going to learn that Synthetics do not work & they Kill??

Watson brand Percocet worked for a very long time for me 10/325. Watson/Activist R one in the same, they changed the name to Activist. It's not only the Ace they reduced But they also took a percentage of the med in it that took away our pain. Activist is a s*** drug now for any opiate with their name on it. They only need a certain % of the chemistry to get it called a pain killer. Activist have their name on a lot of Meds right now not only for us Chronic Pain people but other illnesses as well. I have tried other manufacturers & they did it to all of them (Opiates) the chemistry that they feel will kill us after we have been taking & had become dependent on; Activist took whatever they took out. They deny that they removed anything, believe me they did. Thousands if not millions on these drugs all can't be wrong when they're saying all the same thing "it's not taking my pain away" "I feel different" "I'm irritated after I take it", etc. We will never get the original recipe for our pain Meds again.

The state of Florida wants their citizens that are having an illness and or health issue to be in pain, and muscle spasms. :’-( They are trying to put Watson out of business. I went to my pain management Dr. Which in Florida you are required by law to go and get pain medication, even if you need 15 for an old injury that bothers you now and then.

I found albino works that I did not need as many tabs! The yellow ones by endowed great but they have cried up. For those of you that go to Walgreen, they got into some trouble with the OXY crackdown. I met someone who gets 60 Watson soma. They make the best soma. I do not know what I am going to due, I walked out one month with 60 soma (taking soma since I was 17, and now I am 52, and only take a 1\2. Miss the day I use to get 120 soma a month. We need TO TALK AND CHANGE THE LAWS! THE PRESS IDEA OF "Thepillmills" ARE CLOSED, AND ALL THESE. OTHER STUPID RULES AND LAWS ARE MAKING THE SITUATION WORSE.

WHAT DID FLORIDA THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN THEY CLOSED ALL THE PILLMILLS AND LEFT ALL THESE PEOPLE THAT WERE ADDICTED TO OXYCONTIN {NASTY ADDICTION}. The company knew it,but told the doctors it was very safe while the doctors, pharmacists and the company was getting rich selling any writing the number of prescriptions and filling the scripts at $6,000.00 a month. What got me to stop was when I added what blue just decided to ignore no matter who many times I mailed and or faxed the claims.

NOW ILLICIT DRUG USAGE IS UP, AND THEY CLAIM THAT PEOPLE ARE OVERDOSING. The should have done after Purdue who made oxycontin and said it was very safe. Think 20 yrs ago you out your Dr office and 5 days ago he gave you 100 Percocet 5 mg and your done, because you 8 tab at time, equals 40 mg, originally had 160mg they took of the market.
We need to get control of our medication, NOT THE STATE!
