You can do so, if your doctor approves, but you will not get anywhere near the relief from Codeine that you will from the Hydrocodone, since it is a much milder narcotic.
The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
