Accutane Lip Dryness
UpdatedDid anybody else get the crazy dry lips??? I am trying to find something that works, and I was using vaseline but I don't like using chemicals (because somebody told me its left over from oil production, so gross). So I'm looking around and was thinking of going organic but burt's bees seems waxy and kind of weird. There was another one at whole foods from Germany but its like $14. I heard of one from Austin, can't remember the name, like 512 something, here it's good and organic and makes your lips soft but can't remember the whole name. Does anybody know what to use??? Should I just find the 512 stuff?

There is a lip balm Called Dr. Dans... That's what I was given at the doctors office. {edited for privacy}
Hello! Classical side effects of Accutan ar the dry lips. Dry skin should be happening as well. Thereis Cicaplast Roche Posay which is pretty awesome (i recomend it at my pharmacy). Are you doing liver tests? My regards
Hello, Dot! How are you?
The reason Burt's Bees seems waxy is because, just as the name implies, they use beeswax in it. But that does mean that it is all natural and they do make fantastic quality products.
Is there anything else I can help with?
I always use the Lip Medex lip balm by Blistex (just the original medicated kind; the other variations don't seem to work). I used it during my second round of Accutane (the first time I took Accutane I developed a huge painful crack in my lip that didn't heal for 2 months because I didn't know my skin would be getting so dry) and I still use it now because my skin is permanently dry from the medication.
