It is just a potassium supplement that's available by prescription, it contains 1,080mgs, which is approximately 10mEqs.

They can also be used to restore urinary PH in conditions where it may be off and require rebalancing.

It can be very irritating to mucous membranes, so to prevent stomach damage, it is best taken with food and make sure to swallow them whole.
