Abscessed Tooth And Switching Antibiotics
UpdatedHi. My name is Jana. I've got an abscessed tooth and I've been taking Sulfamethoxazole. They belong to my husband cause my insurance hadn't kicked in yet, but I was wanting to switch to Amoxicillin. Would it be dangerous to switch?

Your dentist would be the most qualified person to decide that, they may feel it best for you to continue the Sulfamethoxazole, or they may feel a different antibiotic would be more beneficial.

Typical antibiotic side effects may include: dizziness, drowsiness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.
