My pain management doctor has felt me last year 2012 I didn't get any strong control medicine for 2 straight months June and July 2012, His secretary Fail. Medicaid said that they did not pay for the MS pill in a tablet form, only in a capsule form, my pharmacist even had a talk with the secretary, the pharmacist told the secretary about the changes and medicate policy not to pay for that pill and a tablet but a capsule form and the secretary got mad, so the secretary at ortho Indy lied to my pain management doctor and for straight months I did not receive any medicine for my chronic pain,I have DDD, Spinal problem. when I got back to the clinic in August, this pain doctor, literally went off on me, telling me that his workers will never get fired from their job, and that he will always trust and believe them. So, I was given the Loans ER, It has never worked and never will discover with more plastic and the medicine and you get cancer off of it, That was a study from an outside group in another country. Cannot FDA in America be dead blinded to kill his own people, By giving them cancer. I guess the pharmaceuticals, would love that. now that you have made the Chronic pain people into cancer pain people. There There you have it the pharmaceuticals get rich off of false working medicine and FDA I guess you guys Feel proudof killing the chronic pain patience. funny thing about it is that there was never a test done with this medication on a person. so we the chronic pain patients are the guinea pig, for this new drug OPANA ER bull s***. all of you out there who agree with me we need to let the the persons over the FDA I know about this and other authority people anyone that needs to know about this. JOKING? Maybe we should get the big DRUG dealers to produce THISmedicine for. US CHRONIC. Patience, For we surely can't trust FDA , doctors, And definitely not the pharmaceutical companies for their making a killing.

WELL SAID MY FRIEND, WELL SAID!
Alternative medicine could POSSIBLY be effective for some. However, those in bad pain, poor health, and their only health care professionals are s***ty doctors...then alternative health care treatments can be explored.
I agree with the posts by Sharon and more recently James concerning alternative therapies not necessarily being adequate for their own personal chronic intractable pain. However, it should be noted that others have different results and we all respond differently, even to the same treatments. So as a form of adjunctive therapy (when pharmaceuticals aren't working either due to being made less potent or packed with fillers or your doctor doesn't want to bend for you), all I'm getting at is that you might as well put something good into your body so you don't have to rely as much on something else that's being complained about in terms of efficacy and financially supporting an industry that could care less about you (re: the original post here).
Maybe it's just about finding a balance between conventional and alternative options, so neither one has to be 100% replied upon during tough times? I just see so many comments on this site bashing the quality of their pain medication (often using the term 'placebos') and wonder why they still pay for it each month as if the medication changes or they're hoping and praying that the pharmacy gives them a better manufacturer's version and taking a shot in the dark with their hard earned money knowing all too well that pharmacies only buy the cheapest quality products. Does that sound better than taking something that's at least good for your body even if it only helps a little with pain?
I'm sorry, but to the original poster, your spelling is craziness. I feel like that crappy plastic Opana ER must be working a little better than what you think, because your post was straight from the mind and fingers of an intoxicated person. Oh btw, a medication that gets FDA approved, then marked...HAS to be tested on a human being, rather SEVERAL people and SEVERAL times.
Concerning homeopathic physicians, screw that s***. That is WHY the advent of modern medicine came to be, because herbs, raw plants, and acupuncture are not effective for things like chronic intractable pain, neuropathies, etc. JMO
David, when one has CHRONIC pain, most natural methods of pain relief don't work. Many of us have shooting pain in our back. Neck, or nerves, that feels as tho someone is beating us with a hammer. Also most drs now days make you try everything but pain medicine before they finally give it to you. I have peripheral neuropathy, I spent thousands of $$ on acupuncture, massage, beet juice diet recommended by a nutritionist, been there done it all tried it all. Thank you. Chronic means it never lets up. Have a great day!
Hi Kay, How are you?
I believe a large percentage of the population can relate to your frustration towards the FDA and Big Pharma being only in it for the profit and not for the good of the people.
It's not always an option for everyone, but I personally choose not to support pharmaceutical drugs as often as I am able to, by opting for natural alternatives the majority of the time. We should give more credit to naturopathic physicians who take a completely different approach to pain management than standard western medicine. They utilize treatments modalities that actually heal the body over time rather than breaking it down with toxic chemicals that have been synthesized in "Dexter's Laboratory" Lol.
