I am 64 and post menopausal. I used to take hrt but quit over a year ago. I fight with my weight. 5"1" at 200 lbs. My joints ache swell. Water aerobics helps but not enough. Some days I hurt most of the time. Have problems with memory. I have unusually thick uterine lining with 2 biopsies. No cancer. I think I need to take just progesterone to force uterus to thin. Is this a good idea?

It is commonly used for such issues. But the FDA warns that you may experience nausea, dizziness, cramping, headache, mood changes, and a heavy period of bleeding, while your body expels the excess tissue.

Has your doctor deemed any treatment as being necessary? How thick is your uterine lining?

Are you on any other medications?
