'abnormal' Sudafed Purchasing Restrictions (Top voted first)
UpdatedOur local Walgreens informed us that Sudafed or their brand Wal-phed could only be purchased if you had an active prescription acct (not for sudafed- just any active prescription) that had been filled within the previous 30 days. They don't accept our insurance, so we have prescriptions filled over at our local Walmart pharmacy. They wouldn't let us buy Sudafed at all because of this!
The pharmacy manager told us this was a regional policy due to dirtbag methheads.
Is this legal?

Hello, David! How are you?
Yep, they can do that, as long as they apply it across the board to everyone and aren't just singling you out.
I think Wal-Mart carries it, so you should be able to purchase it there.
Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness and insomnia.
Is there anything else I can help with?
We net up to a Walgreens in Augusta, that sold us a 96 count box with no problems, so we now now the Pharmacist lied to us regarding her statement that the Augusta stores had a new policy with a requirement to have an active subscription in order to purchase Sudafed (or Wal-phed in our case). We were profiled!
