Oxycontin is the name brand for the time released formulation of Oxycodone manufactured by Purdue Pharma and there is no generic of it available.

This tablet does contain 30mgs of Oxycodone, but it is not time released, it is a regular release formulation, which would be a generic for Roxicodone.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation.
