Zydus was also very effective for me also. I have been on actavis and it’s been okay. Since zydus was discontinued, could I ask what manufacturer you use currently?
I have been taking generic Wellbutrin for over a year, Teva brand. Teva bought out Actavis. Aurobindo-a generic "ingredient" company in India bought Actavis. I now have Wellbbutrin tablets-300 mg, that match NO pill ID on the internet. The only reason I say all of this, as of taking the "Actavis" vs. "Teva" generic bupropion XL 300 mgs., I now have a "mystery rash", three docs/derms are dumbfounded as to why any treatments for rash are not working. They are also concerned as to the timing of said rash and new refills of "Actavis" brand bupropion. Also need to add that I have had other unusual side effects/lack of effectiveness with "Actavis" generic bupropion XL. I will no longer have any script filled with a generic until I check out the generic company and forums like this. Just a side note, I asked my Walgreens pharmacist regarding requesting another generic brand and she mentioned "Solkl" generics, I can't find them on Google...I am going to have to "special request" a specific generic brand from Walgreens, now I just have to figure out which generic companies manufacture bupropion XL that are reputable/trustworthy. I am mad as hell that I have to "investigate" any drug that is plain old otc generic tylenol, as I do not trust anything that is not "name brand" anymore.
I have never gotten results from generic anywhere close to the name brand. So sad its a old and probably very reasonable priced medication that is outrageously overpriced. Sadly I cant afford the name brand so simply accept I will always be hugely undermedicated.

Pharmacy just changed my prescription to Zydus 300 xl and I finally feel better! I was on par pharma and wanted to cry all the time. I thought it was me but that stopped once my prescription changed. So far, I am losing weight but I haven't been on it long so I can't say for sure. I hope weight gain doesn't happen! Good luck!
I just switched back to taking 2 150mg Actavis. I responded well to them but 2 weeks on the Zydus 300mg was as if I'd quit taking anything, cold turkey. My husband even asked if I'd come off my meds. HORRIBLE
did nothing for me except gain weight.
Same here. I keep getting sensations in my head like something spinning in there. I don't know how else to explain it. Also getting a return of my depression as well as stomach upset. And the sweating that I was having with other generic brands has stopped. I don't think it has the correct dosage.
I had a problem with the Zydus Bupropion xl 300 mg. I was on Welbutrion XL 300 mg and after 3 weeks I could feel the difference. When I went on Zysud After a few weeks I notice I was agitated, emotional could not concentrate, movement came back. (I take it for ADHD)
I'm new on here and sent my first reply to the world - ugh...sorry. Thank you for your help, and please feel better
According to the US National Library of Medicine, Zydus's generic Bupropion is actually manufactured by Cadila Healthcare Ltd., based out of Ahmedabad, India. Zydus simply acts as their distributor with a local headquarters in Pennington, NJ.
Each tablet reportedly contains the following set of inactive ingredients:
hypromelloses, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid, polyethylene glycols , triethyl citrate, povidone, ethylcelluloses, silicon dioxide, butyl alcohol, ferrosoferric oxide, isopropyl alchol, propylene glycol, shellac, & ammonia.

@Jezi, - Perhaps one or more of those ingredients could be what's causing you to react differently than you might with another manufacturer's brand/generic? Also if you look at the "adverse effects" listed on that page, you'll see that it does show "twitching" as a possible side effect as well.
I hope this helps clear things up!
I have been taking Zydus bupropion xl for about two weeks. I don't think it is as effective, and I feel 'zaps'--not sure how to explain that, sortof like twitches. I have felt horrible.
