Zydus - Wellbutrin Xl 300mg

Has anyone else had bad experiences with the Zydus Wellbutrin XL?

I responded really well to 2x150mg of the Activis brand, for about 6 weeks but 10 days on Zydus 300mg was like coming off it all cold turkey. Nothing done, scatterbrained, tearful and like I was back at square one!

Thank God my Walgreen pharmacist had heard this before, called my Dr to get a new Rx for 2x150 Activis and squared it away with my insurance company.

Is there anything that can be done?

I had a 3 month supply of zydus wellbutrin...and it is summer and I feel the most depressed I have felt in a long time. I saw your post and I am going to talk to walgreens and see if I can't try another prescription. I have gained weight and thought when summer came I would feel better. But yesterday was my birthday and I don't even feel like leaing my house.

I had the zydus bupropion 300 xl and had exact same reaction others described; crying all the time, freaking out about nothing--totally reminded me of life before meds. I checked the bottle and saw it was from a different manufacturer. Had script switched to pharmacy that uses par-- not sure that will be better but they told me it's made in ny. I'll believe it when I see it. If they're wrong I'm going on brand only.

I think the symptoms people are experiencing upon changing over may be the result of either different inactive ingredients or withdrawal symptoms (due to it being a weaker version). Going with the brand name seems like the only way to get consistency each time you fill your prescription nowadays; but another idea is to have your doctor specify a particular manufacturer on every script he writes. Others here have reported this being a successful approach as well.
