Zubsolv Post Surgery

I’ve been on zubsolv for close to 8 years (farrrr longer than I would’ve liked). This was to treat my bad habits during my teen years. I’m on the smallest does, with one pill lasting about 3 days. I had surgery yesterday and was very up front that I want no narcotics under any circumstances. Well they gave me a dose of something (what exactly, I don’t know) while I was under because they said it was necessary. Seemed pointless since they knew I took zubsolv the evening prior. Anyway, the narcotic dose they gave me was between 7-10am yesterday (surgery began at 7, I was released at 10am). It’s now been 24 hours since then. Can I take my zubsolv? I’m terrified of going into precipitated withdrawals. Is there a time frame, as in hours, you’re supposed to wait? Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Based on my own investigation, 24 hours tends to be long enough for many folks to wait in between opiates/opioids and Zubsolv. However, your exact time frame may be different depending on your metabolism and a number of other underlying factors. I read comments from various patients who mentioned waiting anywhere between 12 and 72 hours (up to 3 days). To my knowledge there are no specific guidelines laid out by the medical field regarding this concern, but if somebody comes across a chart please post it here so that others can benefit from the information.

Hope all is well!
