white round tablet with ZPL in a traingle shape on one side and the number 5 on the back. It is a sleep aid ## It's ZLP not ZPL; it's a 5mg Zolpidem (tradename Ambien). It's a sleep aid. It's prescription only because there are some contraindications (medical conditions or clashes with other medications you might be taking). ## The identification provided by Pete is correct, so thanks! Learn more Zolpidem details here. Zolpidem is used for the short-term treatment of insomnia, but there are other reasons that it is available by prescription only. It can cause next day grogginess in some people that can hit unexpectedly and affect their ability to drive or work. Along with that, it has caused odd behavior, while sleeping in some people, which has the potential to be dange...

'Used Zolpidem 10 mg, a white oval shaped pill.Moved to a different state and now is not available. A round gray pill does not work as well although same ingredient does not work as well ## @Chuck, When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive" ingredients which may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. So it is possible that you may respond favorably with one medication and not the other (even if they are the same active ingredient). This can be attributed mostly to how these binders/fillers make you feel or whatever side effects they might carry. I hope this info helps! Have you tried ask...

what would these pills do when mixed ## From what I could gather, there is a "moderate" interaction between Zolpidem & Gabapentin. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of when mixing these two drugs: "Using zolpidem together with gabapentin may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor." ...

W715 was given to me as zolpiedm white oblong pill does not look like the original pill i use to get ## The white oblong pill in description marked W715 is in fact identified as Zolpidem tartrate (10 mg). Manufacturer: Wockhardt USA National Drug Code (NDC): 64679-0715 A lot of the time, pharmacies can change brands/manufacturers on you without prior notice. It's not ethical at all in my opinion; mostly because people usually respond differently to different brands (due to a change in binders/fillers and even as much as a 20% difference in the actual active ingredient itself). I need to take one and I found one that is out of date by 6 weeks, is it ok to take it? ## Hi Shivvy, From what I could gather, Zolpidem is said to have a shelf-life of 2 years as long as it has been properly stored. So depending on when you got it, I think it should be fine to take. Other information I found from a Harvard Medical School family health article, states that, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. More details on that study can be found here: health.harvard.edu/fhg/updates/update1103a.shtml I hope this info helps!

I'm using Zolpidem at night times for about 4 months now. I'm getting a skin reaction. Red and puffed when there is pressure against my skin - like arms, feet and the top of my hands. Can it be a side effect of the Zolpidem? ## Are you experiencing this all the time, or just after taking it? Learn more Zolpidem details here. Have you been in the sun a lot recently? ## I have it all the time, not only after I've been taking it. When there is a little pressure (like my arm on a armrest) it apears. Very itchy. Sit on my knees - its on the top of my feet where it touch the ground. thanks

I recently travelled to an Asian country and took Noxidem Zolpidem tartrate 10mg together with Lethyl 30mg to help me to sleep in order to shake off the jet lag asap. I thought it would assist to get me quickly into a new sleeping pattern as I had to work from day of arrival. However the government required medical checkup picked up heroin. I have never taken any form of drugs other than prescriptive medication. Question 1: Is heroin a ingredient in either of these medications? Question 2: How long will it take to clear from my blood as I am due for a follow up blood test in a week? ## Nope, there's no Heroin in either.
