Zoloft Side Effect? (overdose)
UpdatedWhile it may or may not be addiction. On a Saturday near the evening, I started taking my daily dose every 1-3 hours, I continued this for the entire night, as I was playing COD BO3 with my friend, at this time, it is usual to feel tired. But I didn't. So, I never went to bed, my friend awoke a few hours later, and we decided to go another night without sleep (double XP weekend). He clocked out at around 3Am. I was feeling as if I had been awake for no more than a few hours, at most. Not tired at all. so, I played the game, a lot, went for a walk. The clock was 9 am or something, and my friend wakes up, we make food, we talk, we walk, and I still wasn't tired, despite being awake for 40 or so hours.
Note: I continued taking 1 pill every 1-3 hours during the entire weekend, stupid I know.
Here's the interesting part; Surprise! I still wasn't tired, so I didn't go to bed. I stayed up all night. However, when the clock was around 7Am, I decided to go take a shower, and that's where I temporarily lost my mind. I experienced Dissociative identity disorder (if this was a hallucination, I am not sure, but it felt like watching myself from the eyes of another person through my own eyes, if that makes sense), maybe the odd hallucination, but nothing major.
I stopped taking my dose at 8am. Depression gone, away. Just left with a calm, static bliss.
11AM: all bliss-like feelings were gone. Left me with one, rather irritating side effect; Tremors, lots and lots of tremors. Couln't pick up a glass of water without spilling half of it. It was like I had late stage Parkinsons.
While it is a long shot, I was wondering if anybody else has had maybe not all but most of the symptoms I described above? In particular the never feeling tired part.
Not having to sleep is incredibly useful.

Hello, Mat! How are you?
Those were overdose symptoms. Zoloft is an SSRI antidepressant, so it acts on serotonin in the brain, by taking that much of it, not only do you risk a possibly fatal overdose from organ shut down and failure, but you also risk serotonin syndrome, as reported by the NIH, which could also be fatal. You're actually very lucky that you didn't experience even worse symptoms and end up having seizures, or going into a coma.
Then coupling it with no sleep, you really compounded the problems. I strongly urge you not to do it, again. It is really not safe.
Is there anything else I can help with?
