I am currently taking 50mg of Zoloft and .5-1mg of lorazepam a day. I have been having bad insomnia, so can I take the 50mg dose of zzzquil to help me sleep?

From what I could gather, each of these medications list the same type of drug interaction. The following precautions apply to: Lorazepam + Zoloft (sertraline); Lorazepam + ZzzQuil (diphenhydramine); and ZzzQuil (diphenhydramine) + Zoloft (sertraline)

"Using any of these drugs together may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor."

With that said, I think it may be wise to discuss this with your doctor if you feel that anything mentioned above is concerning to you. Other than those potential side effects, this combination still sounds like a viable option in my opinion.

I hope this info helps!
