2 REPLIES UpdatedUnder what conditions should one take methylcobalamin 500 mg? What are the benefits and what are the side effects? ## Methylcobalamin is just a nutritional supplement, which is a form of Vitamin B12, it is often given to people that suffer from various types of nerve pain, because a deficiency in this has been shown to contribute to and aggravate such conditions. As a supplement, the side effect profile for it has not been studied as is done for actual drugs, but some people have reported some nausea, after taking it. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## I have been diagnosed with Vitamin B12 Deficiency, :P Anemia..... I tried the injections but had so many side effects. 108 REPLIES UpdatedWhat is the Zofran Shelf Life ## "Zofran (ondansetron) tablets have good stability, and have a shelf life of 2 years when stored below 30 degrees C." Referenced from: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2533901 I hope this helps to answer your question! ## Is that 2 years from the time the Zofran was manufactured, or from the date received? There is no indication on my Rx bottle of the date it was manufactured. ## The expiration date is set from the date of manufacture. It's nerarly impossible to know if you have short dated drugs unless you ask the pharmacy what the expiration is when they dispense it. ## I have nausa meds that expired 12/2016. Are they still ok to take? ## What is the shelf life of Zofran/Ondansetron after it has been opened ## I purchased zofran/ondansetron 8 mg in d...
6 REPLIES Updatedfor sever nausea ## Where you perhaps wanting to ask about Zofran? It contains the active ingredient Ondansetron, which is used to treat, or prevent nausea, and vomiting. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, and headache. Can you please double check the name and post back? Thank you!
1 REPLY UpdatedIts Zofran /or the generic version Ondanstron. Its for nausea and used to treat Hyperemesis, or in laymans terms : It fixes nonstop puking. ## This cannot be verified, because the Ondansetron tablet that uses the 233 on it also has a 93 or TEVA on the opposite side. I cannot find anything that matches this description of just having a 233 on it. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## A small white pill with just 233 on it is a 5miligram roxicodone, or oxycodone, it's a pain pill sort of like percocet but with no acetaminophen. ## Oxy, roxys 15's and 30's with no acetaminophen. Ok? ## I found the same thing. It is an oxycodone 5 mg tablet. Manufactured by Sun pharmaceuticals.
4 REPLIES UpdatedSomeone I know was having a bout of nausea and diarrhea. So she went to a hospital and was given Zofran! Is this a narcotic? ## No, it is used to treat or prevent nausea, and vomiting. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness, and dry mouth. Did it help her? ## My client is on daily methadone. The combination of Zofran and methadone can change a QT screening, which can be very harmful.
2 REPLIES UpdatedI went into the hospital for cervical surgery last month and they gave me Zofran and I stopped breathing. I regularly take methadone and gabapentin for chronic pain. I dont take any OTC meds or anything else that would test positive for this. Just the usual cholesterol and B/P meds and albuterol for breathing. The hospital is trying to say I abuse my medications and thats why my heart stopped. They gave me two doses of Narcan AND put me on oxygen. They are crediting my revival to the Narcan not the oxygen. I also have COPD and poycythemia, either of which could have caused me to stop breathing with the Zofran. The hospital ran a urine drug test on me. (they must have cathed me while I was unconscious because I never gave them a urine specimen and thats what the reports claim they used. ...

How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. Have you tried taking it with food and not on an empty stomach? That can sometimes help stop the nausea, even if it's just a light snack. The FDA lists the other typical side effects of this medication as possibly including dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to prescribed something to help the nausea. ## Docs have no answers for my heaving other than Zofran and quite honestly docs kill mame and destroy daily and then go after your money ruthlessly. 5 REPLIES UpdatedI took a pill from my Zofran bottle. It was generic. I've not taken this before. I looked at it before I took it. Then I looked at the others in the bottle and realized the one I took didn't look the same. Of course it's gone now so I don't know numbers but it had the markings on one side to split 4 ways. I don't see this one in the pictures. Could I have taken something different? I'm concerned that I don't know what I took. ## Without seeing the pill and knowing the markings, I can't be certain. However, it was most likely just another generic for Zofran. It is very common for a pharmacy to add in a couple from a different manufacturer, if they are a couple short on filling your fill prescription. You can ask them, they'll be able to tell you. The F...
3 REPLIES UpdatedI take methadone and thats it. Sometimes I take 8mg of zofran for bad nausea, but I my lab work keeps showing benzo and I dont understand why. Could someone tell me so I can show the clinic that I do not take benzos please? ## Is it true or not that (Ondansetron) Zofran 4mg has any type of Benzodiazepines? Yes or No????? Would live to have a relpy. Thank you. ## No, Zofran (Ondansetron) is not considered a benzodiazepene. According to the NIH "Ondansetron is in a class of medications called serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of serotonin ..." I hope this helps! As to the original question, if you are taking different medications I'd bring in proof of your prescriptions before the lab work is done and they should be able to factor in any err...
2 REPLIES UpdatedI have a sister who was given Zofran through an iv during labor and they said that their baby now has narcotics in her system. Is Zofran considered to be a narcotic? ## concerned no Zofran is not a narcotic , its for nausea. they may have given her something for pain in her iv, but they wont give her anything that would harm the baby, ## I was just wondering it would not happen to have any in epidural would it? I know that epidurals are the most commonly used when in labor to decrease or stop the pain. that wouldn't be it would it? ## concerned once they start the epidural there should be no need for pain meds, unless they gave it to her before the epidural was started, which its still ok .they wont give anything to hurt the baby. lots of stuff going on shes having a baby! ask your ...

1 REPLY UpdatedI am looking for the description of a small round peach pill with a cursor R on one side ## Are there any other markings on the tablet? It is the complete imprint that would enable me to identify it for you. The R is a logo used by a pharmaceutical company and they make several different medications, but the R is usually also accompanied by additional numbers. Was it found in the U.S.? ## I take a peach pill with an R on it, it is the generic for ZOFRAN, and I take it for anti-nausea.
