Zetia And Neck Pain

I've been taking the generic brand of Zetia for 2 months now and I have never felt more lousy in my entire life. I have pain in my left shoulder that goes all the way up my neck. It's almost unbearable. I feel like I can't breathe because I am so stuffed up. I cough so bad and I'm so fatigued every day that I don't even want to get out of bed. I lost all interest in everything I used to love. Called my doctor to see if I could stop taking this pill. She never got back to me. I cannot keep taking this pill. Any suggestions?

Allie,

Here is a list of known common adverse drug reactions of Ezetimibe (Zetia).
- headache
- diarrhea
- myalgia
- hypersensitivity reactions (rash, angioedema)
- myopathy
- muscle problems (myalgia and rhabdomyolysis)

From the research I have done the muscle problems taper off the more your body adjusts to the medication.

You are the best judge of your own body and if you feel that it will be harmful to continue taking these pills it is important that you continue your effort to discuss this with your doctor.
