Zerodol For Stomach Pain

My 11 year old son has been suffering from stomach pain. He was given a zerodol 100mg (half tablet). Can u pls advise if this is an appropriate treatment option?

As reported by the NIH, this medication could actually cause stomach irritation, nausea, and stomach pain, as side effects.

Did the doctor say what was causing the stomach pain? Is he on any other medications?

What does his normal diet consist of?
