So I took this med all month last month, ZONISAMIDE 100mg they were light green and white. White side said 100. Light green side said G 24. So I get them refilled today and pick them up from the pharmacy, and I notice that its a completly different pill?? Its orange and white and on the white side it has W 990!?!? But I look at the bottles and they say the exact same thing!?!? I'm confused aand I need help bc I don't want to take anything that the pharmacist made a mistake on!! So do they come in different colors(descriptions) like that?? If thay do then why?? And what's the difference between the one I been taking!?!?

The medication is NOT the same!!! Okay, basically it's the same. But, I had the light green & white for a few years. Then, suddenly! Lavender & Purple and my hair starts falling out by the handfuls!!! The Ins. Company won't even allow you to request which generic supplier you prefer! Such a bunch of BS!
No, you probably didn't take 100mg of zonisamide. The first bottle of capsules you got were made by Glenmark, the second was made by Wockhardt. Both of these companies are based in India and the capsules are manufactured in Mumbai, India then shipped over to their respective company's BS USA distribution center where our FDA has allowed our pharmaceutical market to become tainted with $h*≠ drugs from abroad. It's a disgrace that 60-70% of the generic zonisamide is manufactured in India & NOT in the US where we need jobs for the horrific state of our economy. Go figure the FDA would allow crap like this to actually happen.
The new pill you have received is the same medication, it also contains 100mgs of Zonisamide.
The reason there are different pills available is because this is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several different companies and they will all have different markings. Whenever the pharmacy has to restock their supply, they will order from whichever company is offering the lowest price. It is how they keep costs down for their customers.
If you have these types of questions, you should never be afraid to ask your pharmacist, they will be happy to help you.
