Yellow Round Pill With 5 On One Side

A 26 year old male, previous drug abuser (don't know what drugs) was admitted to a psychiatric unit for over a month, tried to commit suicide, jumped off a bridge, but survived, is now into going to the gym big time and protein drinks. He has an obnoxious attitude, dirty bedroom, keeps himself clean, very bolshie and verbal if confronted by his elderly parents. He panicked at the potential loss of 41 pale yellow tablets (with 5 on one side and nothing on the other) when I cleaned his room. The tablets were in a plastic sandwich bag which he claimed were his quetiapine prescribed meds, but I don't think so. Can anyone help identify them?

These are 5mg generic valium tablets. Valium is a trademarked name the drug known as diazepam. The chemical/drug "Diazepam" (pronounced as: "DIE-AS-É-PAM") is a classified as a " CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE" IN CANADA, MEXICO, AND THE UNITED STATES, although can be easily obtained in Mexico by corrupt physicians and pharmacies ("Él Pharmaciá" ). Diazepam is a POTENT SEDATIVE, EUPHORIC, HYPNOTIC AND BELONGS TO A CLASS IF DRUGS KNOWS AS "BENZODIAZEPINES" (pronounced as "BEN-ZO-DIE-AS-EH-PEENS"), this extremely ADDICTIVE tranquilizer sedative carries a high level of risk for addiction, over doses, and EXTREME sedation; if taken with other sedatives (e.g. opioid{s}, barbiturates, ethyl alcohol/ethanol (drinking alcohol), ether, or ketamine, propofol, etc) then this drug can and will interact with the second or third or fourth(and so on) co administrated sedative drugs and will likely cause severe respiratory depression and then respiratory arrest followed by respiratory failure the cardiac arrest, and final clinical death and then complete brain death.

If your son keeps them in a plastic baggie, then they will likely be weaker than intended as plastic macromolecules tend to absorb diazepam by leeching it from the tablets, but will still be very potent and therefore dangerous. Ask him to produce the paperwork that came with quetiapine and compare the markings on them with the tablets, also print out he tablets picture and confront him with the evidence.... DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO ABRUPTLY QUIT OR HE COULD HAVE LIFE THREATENING SIEZURES! He will have to be admitted to a hospital to detox from it by weening him off of it as "Benzos" detox is and can be potentially fatal!
