The tablet with the WATSON 853 marking contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone.

The tablet with the WATSON 540 contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone.

So, they both contain the same amount of the active narcotic, Hydrocodone, but they do not contain the same amount of Acetaminophen, which improves the effect of the narcotic.
