Xolair Hair Loss

I have been on xolair for over a year now. After the first 3 months of treatment, I lost a lot of hair during the next few months. Much more than the normal nightly loss but doctor denied that xolair had anything to do with it. I know better. Hair loss stabilized around the 6 to 7 month period. I'm very lucky to have had a lot of hair to begin with or I could have been bald by now.

Hair loss has been noted by the FDA as being reported in post-approval use. Since it's not listed among the typical side effects that were compiled pre-approval, then your doctor may not be aware of it.

Other side effects are listed as possibly including dizziness, ear pain, joint/muscle pain and dry mouth.

I'm glad it stabilized for you. Are you back to your normal loss rate?
