You will not lose weight with any drug by itself, you also need to follow a proper diet and exercise plan. As with any medication, it is effective for some people, but there are also some it does not work for.

Xenical contains the active ingredient Orlistat, it is also available over the counter under the brand name Alli.

Common side effects may include: nausea, steatorrhea, flatulence and fecal incontinence.
