Been on Xarelto for five months. Lat muscles became chronically sore within first week after starting Xarelto. Both deltoids and part of tri-ceps starting getting sore. Am in competitive swimming at age 65 and been swimming since 12. Every time I push the workouts, the muscles become more sore. Definitely not sore from over rotation and joints don't hurt; just muscles. Also feel exhausted at times, even when having not swum. Very irritating and I blame this drug. Hard to keep weight down when I can't do a good swim workout. Gone from 4,000 meters to 2800 meters due to soreness. At times I wake up at night with soreness in deltoids. Consequently, sleep is being disrupted also making feel tired.

I am very sorry about the problems you're having, many people have reported experiencing these types of symptoms while on Xarelto.
The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
Have you consulted your doctor? You may need to switch to a different medication.
