Xarelto Side Effects (Top voted first)
UpdatedI am 36 years old with PE, multiple clots in both lungs, blockage to right valve of heart and DVT in left leg. I have no medical issues ever. My PE was diagnosed 3 weeks ago. My doctor put me on Xarelto. I am still on the 21 day, 15mg, 2x a day. I am lethargic, vomiting, severe night sweating, dizziness, blood in my stool, insane MIGRAINES and back aches. The bleeding side effects have landed me in the ER, 3x already. I really cant qualify which side effect is hitting me the worst. On top of it all this drug costs $316 a month and I am uninsured but employed. My financial status and insurance disqualify me for the free Xarelto plans. My doctors really believe this drug will most effectively and conveniently dissolve my clots. Can you offer a solution for free or discount Xarelto RX? Will these side effects subside? Generally, 45 minutes after my dose, I feel horrible. I can't resume my normal activities, namely working with all of these side effects.

Hello, Elisas! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you're having.
Since you've had those bleeding issues, you will likely be better off trying a different medication.
Warfarin is one option, though it does require regular INR testing, but others that don't include Eliquis and Pradaxa.
The side effects are similar, as listed by the FDA, and may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
Have you seen a specialist, or just a GP?
Thanks for your feedback. I simply cant accomodate the regular blood checks and dietary requirements of Wafarin.
I am currently seeing a GP, Hematologist testing to determine why the clots formef and a GI specialist for the bleeding.
Re: Elissa (# 2)
I’ve been on Warfarin for many years now & I don’t feel the dietary restrictions are that bad. Once your doctor has you on the right dose, you won’t need to be tested as often. From everything I’ve read about these new blood thinners I’d rather deal with the dietary restrictions then have the side effects of these new drugs. It seems the drug companies are flooding the market & television with ads. I never seen any advertising about blood thinners before these new drugs came out.
Elissa, If you think you were harmed after taking some prescribed medication, then we are here to help you start the process of your claim for compensation, provided you give us your statement of what occurred during the time of your medication.1
We deal with individuals who were under a blood thinner medication called XARELTO and have acquired any symptoms of health complications during the time of their medication.
