Xarelto Concerns?

Anyone concerned about the new legal cases and their allegations? Woke up the one morning with calf pain, no swelling, redness or warmth. I knew enough to know i could not explain the leg pain and was in the car for about 6 hours the previous day and decided to go to the ER. Diagnosed with a small DVT in my right lower leg. Was told to take Xarelto for 3 months. No restrictions otherwise. Back to normal activity when my leg felt better. I have been on it for 4 weeks now. Just this morning, saw various commercials in regards to the new legal cases and their allegations of the dangers of taking Xarelto... Im freaking out! Anyone else concerned?

My mom has been on xarelto for 6months. This was for clots in both legs. She also has AF. She is experiencing ice cold feelings in both legs with restless leg syndromes. Legs are not cold to touch. She feels out of breath when walking a few feet. She states its like she has to catch her breath. She is 90 years old.
I have been on 20 mg for 2 months and I can't explain the weight gain. I thought that I was going t through Menopause. I see a lot of comments about weight gain and again like everyone else I try to walk 1X a day just to keep everything flowing, but in the past couple of weeks I noticed a dull pain in my legs - like a pressure point. If I walk I have no problems only sitting at work - I have to keep my legs moving. Called the Dr and was advised that it was not more clots forming. Dr apt Monday - I want another scan done and if ok - I want OFF!!!
Yes...I have been taking for 3 years. It has caused weight gain lethargy confused thinking dizziness and severe pain in arms legs and joints. It has caused me to have terrible reflux and worse than all of that I developed a blood clot in my lung.I have done a lot of research and a lot of cases of people bleeding to death have occurred as there is no antidote...AND YOU CANNOT STOP TAKING IT AS IT CAN HAVE A REBOUND EFFECT AND CAUSE A STROKE...I called Bayer and Johnson
and after about 20 mins of non committal answers to my very serious questions he said" I'm not a medical person, ask your Dr. I said my Dr hasn't got a clue and his reply...Sorry!!!!!
Hello, Debbie! How are you?
There are risks associated with all medications and such claims occur frequently, whenever a new one comes to market. The best thing to do is to sit down with your doctor to discuss the possible risks and benefits, so you can make an informed decision on what's best for you.
The main issue, from what I can find, is that while other anticoagulants have drugs that can counteract them to stop uncontrolled bleeding, Xarelto does not.
Does anyone else have concerns about this medication?
