Xarelto, Clots And Medical Concerns (Top voted first)
UpdatedI've been an irresponsible person and it just caught up with me.
Years ago I developed a DVT (the doctors think) and had several massive clots in my lungs (PE). I was initially on Warfarin but eventually switched over to Xarelto.
I became very bad lately, I started being inconsistent with taking my medicine and even started smoking again (4 cigs a day after quitting 18 years).
I still workout 2 hours a day 3-5 days a week and eat fairly well.
The other day I didn't feel right and started taking my Xarelto again. One day later (today in fact), I threw a clot...started getting some pain in my left lung and coughed up some blood (same as the first time it happened). The only difference now is I was already a day into taking Xarelto when this occurred.
I'm trying to get up the courage to call my doctor when I wake up tomorrow to let him know and see what he suggests I do. I'm not even sure if they can treat me with Heparin until the Xarelto leaves my system. Anyone know what they might do in my case?

Please go to your nearest ER for proper evaluation, a thrown clot can be very dangerous, and possibly fatal, so this isn't something you should wait to have evaluated, or post about on a free website waiting for an answer.

There are people online, like myself, who will help, if we can, but none of us can deliver life saving measures over the internet.
I understand that it's hard to accept that there is something physically wrong that will require lifelong monitoring, and treatment, but there is nothing you can do to change it, so you need to take this seriously, and take your medications as prescribed.
Is Xarelto the only medication you take regularly?
Hi! Look into Nattokinase and Serrapeptase enzymes. They're a holistic remedy for clotting instead of horrible pharmaceuticals. I've been taking 4 (2000 each) of nattokinase, and 3 (120,000 each) of Serrapeptase for 5 years for Factor V Leiden blood clotting gene. I have had no more problems with clotting, and no side effects. Take once a day at 45 mins before coffee or a meal .
