What's the difference between the two??

Mylan is the manufacturer. Xanax is the brand, and Alprazolam is chemical name/type. i.e., (Ford, Mustang, Sedan)

Absolitely NOT. 4250 is Mylan USA code for 50mg doxepine capsules. Alps are marked A1 and A4.

Yes it's alpralozam 2mg- equal to a 2mg Xanax bar! I just googled it on my phone and looked at pics and it's definitely true.it has mylan A4 on one side and X formation on back.

2 and a half Xanax bars. because 4 .25s equal 1mg 2 mylan a4s is 4mg or 2 bars. The 1mg is half a bar. so therefor you have 2 and a half bars =]

I got white bars that look the same they have the 2 on one side but say xano not Xanax on them I think they are fake but kid says they are just from Pakistan ? Anyone know or seen these xano 2

I think the round white generics hit me quicker & hang on me longer than the bars. I've also always thought that about peach footballs- of course it takes for to equal 2mg, but they always hit me much quicker than anticipated

Yes it's a 2mg xaxex. I just got some of these. I'm not sure if the bars are better or not but either way xanax is a xanax

VALIUM is a brand made by Hoffmann la Roche of Basel, Switzerland. It was the original brand name registered & patented as diazepam, for which 'Valium' was their trade name, was discovered & developed by a team of Roche employees led by Prof Dr Leo Sternbach; it was the 2nd benzodiazepine discovered after chlordiazepoxide, which Roche marketed under trade name LIBRIUM. The DIAZEPAM you used made by Mylan (which I consider to be amongst the poorest quality medications I have ever had - worse than some Pakistani counterfeits) can not be called VALIUM which can ONLY be used for Roche's product, just as 'Xanax' is Pfizer/Upjohn's brand of alprazolam and can not be used to describe any generic alprazolam by any other company. I have noticed so often that many posters here, sho ALL turn out to be American, use registered trade names when describing a generic when they ought to use the INN, the actual name of the DRUG and not the BRAND NAME. If you say 'Valium' you are talking of the Roche product. Mylan make generic DIAZEPAM and ALPRAZOLAM of a quality which would not be deemed acceptable for sale in Europe, so poor are they. Mylan's ex-Merck Generics products, not made in the USA, are certainly acceptable and their alprazolam (STOP CALLING IT XANAX) is rather good at a very competitive price; compared with Xanax, for which my pharmacy charges €21 per box oc 50 x 1mg, the Mylan generic, an unmarked light blue ovoid tablet, costs €12 for 50. I hold a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which reduces the price to around 10% of that so 50 x European made ex-Merck GOOD Mylan would cost me the equivalent of $0.98. As for the US-made Mylan alprazolam & Diazepam, I think they are fit for nothing more than flushing down a lavatory for all the good they would do. The diazepam in particular is absolute garbage which really should not be permitted to be sold; we evaluated some along with many other generics at the University of Glasgow, & although claimed to be 10mg, not a single tablet contained more than 8mg diazepam. Which would make them illegal here. But my point is really PLEASE CAN WE STOP USING REGISTERED AND PATENTED TRADE NAMES WHEN REFERRING TO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TABLETS/CAPSULES WHICH ARE MADE BY OTHER COMPANIES AND USE THE INTERNATIONALLY ACCEPTED NAME OF THE DRUG UNDER DISCUSSION? PLEASE? Thank you.

Yep just as strong as the bars and the Mylan A4 last longer. I prefer them to the bars. The Valium I used to get was Mylan and so was the Ativan. Mylan is a great co for making benzodiazepines. The a4s are at the very least the same as the bars.

Greenstone *should* be good since it is just the original Pfizer Xanax under a different name. And yes, Mylan alprazolam is the worst excuse for a generic substitute of ANY kind that I have ever taken. Weird, because other kinds of Mylan generics have been very effective.

The second part is wrong. Most American pharmacies, including the big chains, will order whatever generic manufacturer you request. Once in awhile they will be unable to obtain that particular manufacturer, in which case they will give you a list of other manufacturers to choose from. Or just call around until you find a pharmacy that has, or can order, the manufacturer you want.

The problem comes with the insurance companies that require that you use mail order to receive a 90-day supply (not all do so, bu many do). They won't even tell you what manufacturer they are going to send (or will give you incorrect information), let alone allow you to order a specific manufacturer. That is why I *always* get my clonazepam at a retail pharmacy, and pay out of pocket if necessary to get a 90-day supply (the stuff is dirt cheap anyway). GOTTA be Teva.

And I agree that Mylan is the absolute worst alprazolam. Never had any other generic that was remotely THAT bad...had to take at least twice as much for the same effect, and even then it didn't feel right. My other Mylan generics have been fine...I wonder why they can't get the benzos right?

Of course with all the mega-mergers taking place in the generics industry these days, some good options are going away, and a drug that has the same manufacturer NAME as before may actually be made differently. An example is the once great Purepac alprazolam. When they were bought be Actavis, and the alprazolam was renamed Actavis, it was still the same great formula. But now Watson bought Actavis (and took on the Actavis name), and the "Actavis" alprazolam is now lousy (though not as bad as Mylan...no other alprazolam could be remotely THAT bad).

These are the best working ones in that order. Always steer clear of MYLAN. They make good American medication however they do not make ANY BENZO up to par.
