Hi, Jane! Very sorry about the headaches.
It could be from this antibiotic, since it is sulfa based, it has been known to cause some very odd side effects in some people that take it. I had a very bad experience with it myself last year, it gave me a rash, hives, headaches, joint/muscle aches, swollen glands and etc.
