Withdrawal Morphine

I was recently hospitalized and was given dilauted and morphine for 8 days. I was then sent home. I am now suffering from abdominal pain and cramping 4 days later. I did experience abdominal pain while in the hospital. Is this related to the morphine and how long will it last?

Dilaudid contains Hydromorphone, so it is a narcotic, just like the Morphine, so it could also be causing some of the problem.

I can't say with certainty, but it could be some mild withdrawal symptoms, which can happen with narcotics, however, you were only on them for a little over a week, so it really shouldn't late more than a few days.

If it continues or gets worse, please make sure to contact your doctor.
