Wish Me Luck With Pm Doctor

Started with my pain management dr on oxycodone but wanted off because I have had addiction issues in the past but have been sober for 11 years. He put me on Butrans 10mg. One appt they would not let me see the dr because I was short on the copay (not even sure they can do that) so I went 1 week without. Low and behold they gave me a urine test that week even though I told them I had been off it 7 days and it would be negative. So they prescribed Butrans again and I am on my way. Of course I didnt feel it was working as well as the oxy, I didnt know what to expect. 2 appts later they tell me the second test came up negative as well (I had shown the PA the patch, I have lymphocytic colitis which has been in consistent flare up for 2 years...its like pee out of my butt, sorry for the description. This PA accused me of selling the Butrans! I am a professional Crisis Counselor, in Grad School to become a Licensed Social Worker with focus on Substance Abuse Disorders. And what addict would want to buy a Butrans patch? I was so insulted! And then...in the same breath she says "I will write you a prescription for 5mg of Oxycodone and if it doesn't show up for whatever reason (mind you, I am looking for work and even with a note in this field it still isn't good), you are out". I left in tears. Today I am seeing the actual doctor. I am bringing a sample of my diarrhea, a note from my gastro and a whole lot of anger for my mistreatment by this PA. I understand that they do get manipulated for narcotics, but to accuse me of manipulation of Butrans and then give me a narcotic that I dont really want, but have to take (broken neck, discs bulging, herniated and impinged up and down my back, kyphosis, not to mention a shoulder that wont stop dislocating due to the car accident that broke my neck). Dont care if he doesnt want to see my crap...hes gonna see it, hes gonna listen to me and I refuse to leave there crying again (if I do, everyone in the waiting room will know why).

Well my visit did not go so great. I brought up my concerns very non emotionally (tried to get them out before I left) until they turned things around on me and despite THEIR error (they did not run a test for buprenorphine yet insisted it would show, and said that despite office staff not letting me see the doc due to copay, both negative tests stand!) then I got emotional. I had to reschedule yesterdays appt to see the doctor so it was my surprise that I was NOT seeing the doctor and another PA but he would pop in. I was crying by the time he popped in. He said "I can't help you if you are going to give me drama, be a baby and cry". I said that I wanted a referral to a new PM doc. He said I wouldn't get it from him. He said one more shot. He then prescribes me fentanyl (wait, didn't you guys think I was selling Butrans?) and...wait for it..gives me a script for what I thought was my reg mg oxycodone but nooo, it says 7.5mg oxycodone. No 7..5/325 (I cant take acetaminophen anyway) so of course I cant fill it and the office is closed. They are 45 mins away. I get to go back today to see if they will fix it and I am willing to bet they will want me to make an appt! Hello?? UA test? I can't win. Not to mention I put a patch on last night, asleep at 9 and wide awake at 2:30am. It's gonna be a great day...
