Hi, i live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and i find that it is very difficult to the find a doctor in pain managemnt who will prescribe the right types of narcotics to effectively releave my chronic back pain. Any suggestions would be great. Thanx

No you can't iv been called in for a pill count and didn't go in and nothing happend all clinics are different but anything could of came up that made it impossible for you to go in.

Can you be discharged from a clinic for not answering your phone..If you think they're calling for a pill count..Do anyone know?

Would you kindly share the pain doctors name?? Been down that roud with Nosheen Hasan. Desoerately need a descent oain doctor. Please help me out.Doug

Although it is NOT recommended that a Dr just cut you off cold turkey like that... in "some cases" they will.

Examples being failing the Dr's drug panel by NOT having any of the drug that was prescribed in your system OR NOT having enough of a level showing in which you were prescribed to take it.

2 documented reasons for a "cold turkey" discontinuation of your pain drugs is if any other pain drug and / or street drug being found in your drug panel is an automatic FAIL. Also Failing a Pill Count by having less pills than you should will cut you off as well cold turkey. "No Mercy"...

The Doctors just don't give a hoot when it comes to their patients anymore??

For 3 years now and on my way to 4 years, Christ's has not been rude to me One Time...Not Once!! If anything, she has been super helpful and Outgoing!!!!

YES IM GETTING THE SAME CRAP IM GETTING WEENED DOWN WHEN I HAVE ARTHRITUS IN MY LOWER BACK AND IN HVAC I OWN A HEATING COMPANY AND THEY SIT ON THERE ASS WHILE I HAVE TO WORK TO KEEP MY BUISSNESS GOING TO MAKE MONEY ANYOEN KNOW SOMEONE NEAR WESTBEND AREA THAT WILL GIVE ME WHAT I HAD 90- 100MG MORPHINE AND 30 MG QR 120 PILLS HELP ITS GETTING HARDER TO GET OUT OF BED IN MORNING

Can i get more information about Dr Stein? Does he make you drop every month? Does anyone know if he takes all insurance? Sorry i know APM seems to be everyone's hero but Christa is a b*****, she is rude and condescending. I have been seeing them for close to 7 years. I do love Scarlett but it's impossible to get an appointment with him unless you're getting a shot.

Hey there,

I cannot Imagine the stress you are feeling right now...Well, wait a minute...Yes I can imagine it because I endured similar worry when I was dropped.

And while I cannot Speak for any doctor or what they might do..Yet in my personal opinion, I do not think that you have Anything to worry about regarding what verbally happened between you and that other pa/ doctor.

The main thing, with Dr. Scarlett especially, is when you see him, that you be Completely Honest with him. Because I tell you, That doctor, Dr. Scarlett, can smell Dishonesty a Mile Away! He can look at a person and Tell whether or not they're truthful, or if they're Hiding the truth!!

But No, I don't think that which you told me, will even be an issue there with them. But still, I cannot Speak on behalf of him...Just on my own experience!

But one thing is sure...And that is that Dr. Scarlett is compassionate and outgoing, and treats patients just as they are, which are people that are suffering from pain. He and his PA Christa do not treat you any less than that.

I Know when I went to my very first visit after the horrific thing that Hasan had done to me, I was Beyond worried and stressed. I'd heard all the horror stories about how near impossible it was to get another pain doctor to give out narcotic pain meds to a person after he or she had been dropped by another.

My heart was Pounding that day. And weeks before the visit I actually pondered Telling The Truth...Or telling them a lie about why I was dropped by Hasan. And as I was praying just 2 days before my very 1st visit, my God told me "Be Truthful Always!"

So with deep breaths, when time came, I was Completely Honest and Truthful with what happened! And when I saw him for the very first time after I told his assistant, and Hearing him say that he was accepting me as a new patient, and Hearing him sound off the medications to me that he was going to give to me, oh it was Awrsome!!

Then the next visit, and the next, and even Now, going on 4 years later, every visit has been great. It feels so good to be treated with Respect and dignity, and not nasty and harshly like I was treated by Hasan and her assistant Jenelle!!

All I know is WHAT A TRUE BLESSING IN DISGUISE.that I was dropped by Hasan!! So, with that being said, I am pretty sure you will be just fine!!

I am also so blessed to hear of Dr. Scarlet. I plan to make an appt. In the event for some reason you need to seek a different Dr. Which I pray he does work out, I do recommend Dr. Stein out of Milwaukee. The only reason I'm leaving is because I can't afford the office visit's even with insurance. Let's pray we find what were looking for in Dr. Scarlet because he sounds like the best Dr I've heard of in a very long time. There's a big difference between going to a Dr that just writes a script and a Dr who cares and is compassionate and understands which allows for good trusted relationship. Good luck

Thank you ! I agree and you speak the truth and realty. I'm going to make an appt. With Dr . Scarlet. I believe Jesus and my heavenly angels brought me to you. I want to run this by you. This was my 3 1/2 yes with advanced pain management. Dr. Bercauno was my Dr. Although I only seen her for the surgical procedures and injections. She was very rough. I only seen her one time upon the consultation after that I only seen her pa and the pa made all decisions for the entire 3 1/2 yrs . Everything was going fine and Dr.Bercauno hurt me really bad during a procedure, a lasting permanent injury. Er Dr's thought she broke my coller, shoulder and a cervicle disk. Mind you it was a cervicle blocker. After that point her pa did testing, 4 wrong mri's and they tried to get me to leave, telling me they would feel more comfortable and it would be better for all of us if I was cared for by a different pain clinic. I didn't know of any any I didn't know where to go and for so long the pa had told me horror stories about places that were out there so I really wanted to go but didn't. My primary ordered a tripiest MRI it showed the injuries and also showed irregular bone marrow in which among other serious conditions bone pain was one of them. This is the part that im asking for your opinion and advice if you have any to offer. At the following appt after the MRI they had me see the pa she explained they found cancer and seen the injuries and said it'd being advised to leave them. Well I should of but I still didn't know where to go and had gone to a freodert pain dr who said I needed narcotics obviously for my conditions and that froedert doesn't allow what I needed they try to ween to ween as much as possible. So I went back to APM they had me see a different APM pa who gave me a list of of clinics and actually cut my morphine and percacet in half ! I told she was a cold person and she said no one's going to give you narcotics now. I requested my records and she put that I argued for more meds! Well my primary advised to go to a different clinic and raised my meds it was only a one time script because they don't allow froedert Dr's to give narcotics (primaries). That's when I found dr David stein. I can't afford $150 visits I don't even know how to come up with it for may 2nd med refills. So being all that said do you think the West bend APM with Dr. Scarlet will hold that against me? That is exactly what happened I didn't argue I just told her she was a cold person. Among other bad conditions I have a major brain injury and the pain is out of this world. I want to go to someone that's referred to me by someone like you that trust their pain dr and the dr gives appropriate amts. Not lower than the pain level although I understand nothing can touch the pinch brain nerved to make the pain go away or make it comfortable allow it can be masked and also to mask the bone pain and broken vertebrates and neurapathy and the other stuff. I appreciate any help I can get at a level that allows me to be out of insane misery and crying that constricts the arteries and capillaries that makes it worse so we try to keep a level that I can walk , talk, and sleep at least a few hrs before waking screaming in pain. I don't really care who I see as long as they don't give me to much , its for life so even tho I'm not masking as much as can be I don't want to run out of levels. Your body, pain receptors make them stop working needing increases and I have to watch even tho I would love a break even for a little while I can't. Although the dr who did the last surgery the dr was kind enough to give me enough to last afterwards 5-7 mins that gave my hesd a rest from the raw , knife like, should be bleeding feeling, the humming, the hundred pound pressure and the God awful pain a small break. There was silence and I could hear when people talked without hearing the ringing and humming. It came back in quick and ofcouse I could still feel it in the back ground but it was the first break in 9 years. I just want someone who can make me a little comfortable. Sorry for rambling but I thought knowing about it can better help you to give me your opinion and advice and who ever reads this. I can't thank you enough.

YES, Dr. Scarlett is still working out Wonderfullyfor me!! As a matter of fact I just recently had my appointment just a few days ago. I received my regular prescriptions without any talk regarding lowering them.

There Is Hope!!! God is the One who Directed me right to Dr. Scarlett the very day that ruthless evil pain dr.....Dr. Hasan... Just dropped me for no other reason than Lies!! But her dropping me was such a Blessing In Disguise because I now have a pain dr. And staff that actually Cares about their patients!

Hello Tribe of the Lion. You give me inspiration and hope. I found a nice who give meds out but even on medicare and medicaid they charge $70 over and $150 if you don't have anthem. I had to change my HMO which means I'll either have to pay $150 or find a new Dr right now I can't afford to stay. I'm wondering is Dr. Scarlet still working out for you?

To the person seeing doctor Scarlett do u have a number an location for him plz. I'm in Omro Wi. My doctor KEEPS cutting me down also. I was on 7 30 mg oxycodone a day along w/ 2 oxycotin 80 mg from a doctor I was seeing in Milwaukee. Whom I lost after 21/2 yrs . Now seeing one in Oshkosh who automatically cut me to half of everything instantly. Talk about being floored an in pain.. An he continues to want to cut me off.

I've got a spiral cord close to being severed. I've got pain every place. I've had a total shoulder reconstruction done. I was along the outside of a cab coming from knee replacement therepy. Which obviously caused all these new issues. But anyway i need a caring doctor not one that says this is all we're aloud to do because of laws. Like folks are saying everyone is different.

It's both the DEA and these pieces of crap junkies who are making pain patients hurt even Worse!! It's the DEA'S fault because by doing what they're doing, they're putting the "Drug Seeking Junkie" label on everyone's back who suffers from pain everyday!!

The thing is this...The DEA does not care about the "Everyday Joe" who lives down the street who overdoses and dies from it!! And if it was just them, we would not Hear a Word about New Laws this and New Sanctions that...Regarding pain medication!!

But it's the deaths of these pieces of crap spoiled brats and ******s, Hollywood stars and music stars, and popular Political people that, soon as one of them blows too much money and gets any type of pain meds their rich asses can buy.. Such as Michael Jackson, George Michael's, and others...And they overdose...

All of a sudden the DEA gets blamed, and instead of standing up for themselves and real pain sufferers, and saying to these dead stars' families, "Hey, look, your spoiled rich-living dead star family member is the Only one to blame for his or her death! No One Else!!"

Instead of that, they cower down like little panzy panty waist Wusses...And they place all the blame on the rest of the pain suffering world!! What a bunch of pathetic cowards the DEA are!!

And I can't really blame the doctors, except those that are so money hungry that they cater to the rich, and not caring that if something happens, how it might affect the rest of the pain sufferers.

Those doctors are even bigger cowards than the DEA. But the Good doctors, the ones that are merely just trying to help pain patients lead productive pain-controlled lives...

They have worked Hard for their license!! I don't blame them for not wanting to lose their license...And for really wanting to protect themselves by weeding out pain patients that, despite their pain, are really just trying to work and earn a living...from those patients that Can work but choose to just sit at home day in and day out, and gobbling down pill after pill!

These doctors...They're not Stupid...They can look at a person and tell one that's really trying but are suffering and in need of pain help...from those that are really just coming for their monthly "fix!" Naw Sirs...These pain doctors are Not Stupid!!

Yes they do. I was on 120 30 mg tabs. I reallt liked the nurses too. Was kicked out for a couple reasons, my fault. I was there 5 years, and left early this year.

Ya well the DEA I read are not the bad people, but that may be wrong. It's the people who overdose on street drugs not the people who really need it. Soon that's gonna be the only way to get pain relief.
