Winder Labs Dextroamphetamine Sulfate Quality
UpdatedI've never heard of or taken Winder Labs brand and my CVS has them in stock. This is always concerning as ONLY Teva/Barr and Mallinckrodt have been effective in my experience. Aurobindo made me nauseated. Any experience to share?

Any updates? My pharmacy just filled my 10mg tabs with this brand and the pills seem super shady - no coating and dusting apart in my hand.
Re: Jane (# 1)
Wow, please keep me posted about the efficacy. That's concerning 4 sure
I just picked up my winder labs 10 mg rx and took a dose. Will update shortly. They are dusty looking and oval.
Re: Blowinsmoke559 (# 3)
Thank you! Really hope they're effective because my 2 month supply is at CVS and I am hesitant until I hear info.
My cvs is in Massachusetts.
Re: Blowinsmoke559 (# 3)
Any input? Thanks.
After a few days I'm finding it very potent and effective
Re: Rcma (# 6)
I just finished a month of this brand. Usually I get mallinkroft (spelling?) and I’ve noticed my mood has drastically declined when it wears off. I’ve been so irritable and not like myself. This is the only change I can think of that could possibly be contributing to it. I think it’s also been making me nauseous and I don’t think it works as well as other generics I’ve tried.
Re: ADHeyDonuts (# 7)
Thanks for the comments about your experience. I generally use Teva/Barr or Mallinkrodt. My experience with Winder has thankfully been acceptable overall --except it's DEFINITELY possible that it has an abrupt crash, like you described. It's been manageable for me.... but I would say that I've noticed that headachey/clumsy/foggy/crabby feeling if I don't take my next dose at 4hrs. With others I may get feel energetic but not wiped out and irritable. FYI, found that if I take my dose at about 3.5 hrs instead of 4, the crash is less. WHY is this? Answer: different generics use different binders and metabolize/absorb at slightly different rates. And the meds bioavailability is impacted by ph levels. If one is acid (grapefruit juice, acidic food/bev), less absorption; alkaline (Tums, antacids) more hits the blood steam.
"The average half-life of dextroamphetamine is 10 to 12 hours, but this varies considerably with urinary pH; at a urine pH less than 6.6, more than two-thirds of unmetabolized drug is excreted in the urine, whereas at a urine pH greater than 6.7, it is less than one-half."
"Avoid drinking fruit juices or taking vitamin C while you take dextroamphetamine. These can make your body absorb less of the medicine."
"Antacids increase absorption of amphetamines... GI acidifiers like vitamin C, fruit juice and others can lower absorption".
I just received my generic dexedrine this morning and immediately noticed they changed the manufacturer from Mallinckrodt (my fav) to Winder Lab. I'm not happy about this change but I guess I have no choice for now. Wish the pills weren't so dusty, hope it doesn't get stuck in my throat lol.
Re: Mayli1017 (# 9)
They dissolve almost instantly actually. Tiny ovals sort of purple. No coating. Really seems like Dollar store rejects. But they're working so far not terrible ...
Re: Rcma (# 10)
That's good to know that they're working. I'm most worried about placebo pills and how bad of a crash I get as it wears off. I've had the most success with Mallinkrodt so I was so bummed to see this new medication. I'll finish my tried and true M's first and then start the Winder Lab pills. Fingers crossed!
I noticed that the bottom of my bottle has a lot of orange dust.
Brain fog, tired, wondering if these are what they should be. Back in 2019 fda warned winder about manufacturing processes that were not adequate
I've had Winder brand 10mg now. They make me sleepy, confused, and not able to get anything done. I had the 20mg tablets first and they seemed good. Maybe they are made at a different place. These are not good, and now I'm stuck with them for a month.
I can officially say that these don't work for me. If anything, they make me feel worse (brain fog, no motivation, headache, sleepy...). I get my dex from a mom & pop pharmacy and thank god my recent refill was Mallinckrodt again!
