Hello i have been taking sprintec for 3 months now and my last week of blue pills i started to bleed but not enough to go on a pad. Then when i took my white pills still bleeding but not enough. Now i am finshed with the white pills and have taken 3 blue pills of a new pack and it looks like my period is heavier with cramps... Really confused on why my period hasn't stopped yet...How long does it take for the bleeding to stop if i am already on another pack? I have been bleeding for almost 3 weeks... somebody please help!!!!

Irregular bleeding can occur as a normal side effect, for the first 3 months or so, as your body is getting used to the hormones in these oral contraceptives. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.
However, if the bleeding is heavy, or doesn't stop soon, you should speak to your doctor, you may need to try a different oral contraceptive.
