Are you saying Opana has really shown up as hydromorphone in your experience?
Since my Dr. switched me from Dilaudid to Opana IR (both generics), both oxymorphone (expected) and hydromorphone (not expected) are showing up in my urine, even with GC/MS testing.
Two possibilities I'm investigating are:
1) The Dr. is not reporting to the lab that I'm also taking Movantik (because, he says, he doesn't care if it appears in my urine), but the standard library of opiate spectra the lab uses does not contain data for naloxegol, and the lab's instrument instead ranks hydromorphone as the closest candidate to the ions found.
2) The probiotic bacteria I have been taking are transforming metabolites of oxymorphone (or the oxymorphone itself) to hydromorphone or to chemicals recognized as metabolites of hydromorphone.
Do either of these fit your circumstances?
If not, the only other thing that I can think of is that the maker of the generic Opana IR I take (Roxane) might be packaging batches of oxymorphone that have been adulterated with hydromorphone (Of course, this seems to be the least likely possibility, but if my situation gets to the point where I have to consult a lawyer, if he's any good, he'll have that tested for).

I take 40mg OxyContin and 15mg oxycodone. My pm doctor has told me I'm testing positive for hydromorphone. I've been in pm for over ten years and have never taken anything but oxycodone. How can this happen?
