Will Vyvanse Show Positive For Amphetamines

Will the ADD medication vyvanse show as a false positive for amphetamines on a urine drug screen? Is it possible to get--or where can I find-- a list of the FDA regulated urine drug-testing centers in the US? Thank you.

Hi Robin,

In some cases, yes. Information I gathered states that Vyvanse is a prodrug for the chemical dextroamphetamine. Dextroamphetamine will cause a positive test for amphetamines, and in some drug tests methamphetamine. You should provide your prescription to whomever is drug testing you to show valid reason for such a positive test.

As far as your other question is concerned, at this time I haven't been able to locate any specific details regarding a full list of these testing facilities; but I would imagine that one would have to contact the FDA directly for such information.
