My doctor said I had a positive urine for heroin but I don't do it. He gave me 60mg morphine sulfate for long term and oxycodone 15s. Also, is the morphine sulfate causing the test to be false positive?

I went today and was told that I was taking heroin. I take 30 mg morphine and take only what is perscribed. I'm totally baffeled. she ask to see my pills and took them away from me and treated me like some druggie. They also did another mouth swab and it will probably come back the same because I'm on the same meds as then. How is this possible? I live in Pa. and they send the swabs to NC to be processed. only 1 med that I take showed up along with heroin, any one els have this happen?

Good God !!! Please tell me you are joking ? If you are on ms contin (morphine sulphate) prescribed from a doctor he himself should know FULL WELL that morphine will make you test positive on a general opiate screen just like codeine will as well for heroin.

They are ment to do a specific opiate alkaloid drug test for morphine sulfate as on a general screen like they use for addicts on methadone that all 3 of the most natural opiates like codeine, morphine and diamorphine aka heroin WILL make you test opiate or heroin positive. You need to speak to them about this if its not to late

Your Dr must be a complete airhead !!! Report him/her to general medical council if they stopped your P/X !!!
