Monday, I had Oral surgery for the removal of a tooth and this is the Rx. I take 1 tablet by mouth every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain. Tuesday, I was scheduled to return for flipper retainer to be inserted but I was not feeling well & was very swollen, so I postponed to Thursday. Thursday, the doctor said it was so swollen, he didn't want to bother the swollen tissue so rescheduled for the next Tuesday.

Hello, Vicki! How are feeling? Has the swelling gone down, at all?
And no, this medication won't really help much with swelling. However, the issue is that after having oral surgery, they want to be careful what they give you, to avoid increasing how much you bleed, which is why anti-iflammatories weren't given.
