Will Erythromycin Sulfisox Susp Work For Strep Throat

My 2yr old has strep throat bad and doesnt want to sallow anything. Will erythromycin-sulfisox susp kill this infection or do i need a stronger antibiotic?

Hi Janet,

From what I could gather, Erythromycin is often a first choice antibiotic against strep throat. There are however certain strains that are "immune"; in which case I would simply suggest letting your doctor have the final say as to what medication would be best.
