I had intercourse with my ex boyfriend and I think he gave me chlamydia, five days later I went to the doctor for a sinus infection, the doctor gave me AMOX TR-K CLV. I was wondering if the antibiotic he gave me will get rid of the chlamydia?
Note: I already went to the Health Department but they told me they would have to make an appointment for next month.

The reason they told you that is because before being treated for it, a test for Chlamydia must be done and it will not be detected immediately, it takes awhile.
Though this isn't the preferred antibiotic to use, yes it could clear it up.
But why do you think he gave you Chlamydia?
