Will 1.0mg Or 1.5mg Of Clonazepam Cause Inr Levels To Decrease Or Increase?
UpdatedI'm taking Warfarin to treat lung blood clots and address my antiphospholipid syndrome. I also get occasional panic attacks, so I was wondering what affect on INR taking 1.0mg or 1.5mg of Clonazepam about a couple times a month would have. Does anybody know?

Hello, DETBrannigan! How are you?
Yes, there could be problems. Clonazepam has been known to cause Thrombocytopenia, though it isn't common, there is a risk of it.
That doesn't mean that you can't take it, but that your doctor may need to monitor you more closely for awhile and adjust your Warfarin accordingly.
This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability..
Is there anything else I can help with?
Unless you have a compelliing reason not to,I strongly recommend everyone over 40 to take at least 82 mg enteric aspirin.
