What is the dose of Wikoryl Syrup (Alembic ltd) for the child age 5 yr?
e.g. 7.5 ml three times in a day

Wikoryl contains: Paracetamol (125mg) + Phenylephrine hcl (5mg) + Chlorpheniramine maleate (1mg) per 5ml teaspoon. It is used to treat the symptoms of a cold and allergies.

Did your doctor not provide you with any dosing instructions?

From the amounts in each teaspoon, it sounds like that would be a dose, one 5ml teaspoon for a child of that age. It is usually given every 6 to 8 hours, as needed, but not to exceed 4 doses a day. I would also verify this with your child's doctor, but it should give you an idea of what is usually taken for these types of syrups.

my doctor has prescribed wikoryl for my two and half year old baby .. I am giving the dosage from past two months still I don't see any improvement in her health.. I visit him every 15 days but he says don't need to change the medicine .. I am scared now .. At times my daughters eyes are little watery .. And she complains of headache and suddenly her appetite has also increased though that's the good part .. And he has also prescribed monter tablets one everyday..

Dosage 2.5 ml of wikoryl, Monter one every day(chewable)

Please suggest .. Hope everything is ok
