Pharmacies are on alert for abusers of this. If you want oxy, you have to be a legit user. You also have to prove it. You must go to a REPUTABLE doctor who is not under investigation by the DEA. You have to prove that a proper patient/ prescriber relationship exists. Bring your pain management forms to the pharmacy, and talk to the pharmacist. Do not be rude, do not ramble about being to 200 pharmacies, and don't try to bore the pharmacist with every little ailment you have. Just let them know that you wish to establish a real relationship with their pharmacy, and have the proper information to back up your prescription needs. Show them your prescription, your id, and make sure you are in your home state, for the love of god. Tell them you understand their predicament with the medication, and be honest. If you are a legit user, and provide proof of your diagnosis and your relationship with your doc, you have a better chance. Some pharmacies will still say no. Do not accuse them of anything, or cause a fuss. The DEA is monitoring all pharmacies and making lists of the users and the docs prescribing. They are recording the rxs that they turn away as well.

There was also a shortage during the last few months of the year, which hasn't quite been rectified yet. It is fairly common for this to happen due to mandatory manufacturing limits.

That is the reason for some of the crack downs, such as you and your doctor having to be local to the pharmacy filling the prescription.
There are also limits now on how much a pharmacy is allowed to order in and keep in stock each month, so they sometimes have no choice but to turn away customers.
