Why Doctors Won't Prescribe Pain Medication Nj

The Drug Enforcement Agency is making it very hard on doctors to prescribe pain medicine such as oxycodone, oxycontin, percocet and even hydrocodone. They have set new rules that go into effect May of 2016, that's this month. Unless you have a serious condition and have been on these meds for the treatment of your pain it will no longer be easy peasy getting the appropriate pain relief you need from a general practitioner... If you have sciatica with burning down the legs into the feet I suggest seeing a neurologist to treat your pain... Avoid a pain management clinic for now (until the dust settles from the new rules) if that's you I described.. A neurologist will order a emg, mri, and even a CT Scan. These will show your issues and justify a slow moderate increase in your preferred meds.. I'm not giving out any names to any neurologists but I will say Teneck and Hackensack have some good caring neurologists and they do not extort you into cortizone shots... Good luck to all of us.. The DEA, the jury is not out on you yet on the real reason you are making it so hard for legitimate issues to be treated appropriately... (Illicit drug use is in high demand and I see this benefiting the DEA and overtime pay ect. ect. Take away someone's pain meds who need them for legitimate issues and what do you think they are going to turn to... American garded popie fields in Afghanistan... More money for more reasons than one can even begin to comprehend... Or maybe im wrong. Like I said, the jury ain't out on this issue yet, and with Prince now being the new poster child coincidence that he dies right when these new regulations are issued... I dont know I think I smell a classic case of conspritorial incalince in order to further an agenda way beyond the average persons ability to grasp and truly understand... To me its blatant and obvious whats going on....

How do we get our voices heard? I don't have an abusive relationship with my meds, and the DEA is trying to take away the only things that allow me to live somewhat of a life. And now the price is skyrocketing and I'm hearing the plan is to stop manufacturing them altogether. Something ought to be done to make our voices heard. We need these meds (fioricet/cod for me)
