Why Ecosprin 75 Is Used (Top voted first)

I'm 23 weeks pregnant and my Dr. prescribed me ecosprin. Could you tell me why this medicine is prescribed to me and how it can help me in my pregnancy?

Ecosprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin, in this low of a dosage, it is normally prescribed as a blood thinner and is usually given to pregnant women who have shown evidence of low blood flow, such as developing clots, thrombosis or Varicose veins.

Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding.

I am a 35 year old (pregnant) woman. I have no past history of miscarriage or blood pressure problems, but my dr. suggested I take 75 mg ecosprin for one month. Is it safe or not and for what purpose was it prescribed?
