White Tablet/pill Oblong Shape Imprinted With J

Can anyone help identify following tablet: White oblong shaped pill witha line down the centre and imprinted with the letter J on either side of line.The other side of pill is totally blank.

The pill you are describing is frequently given out by private slimming clinics as 'Diethylpropion' 75mg extended release. I have been trying for some time now to find out exactly what it is.

The closest match I could find is identified as Alendronate sodium (35mg); which is a white oblong pill imprinted with "J" on one side and "242" on the other.

Manufacturer: Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Alendronate is used in the treatment of prevention of osteoporosis.

I know it doesn't sound like a precise match, but perhaps this can at least help to narrow down your search (for you and for anyone else who may be trying to identify this pill).
