I know it's a generic xanax, i can tell, but the pill has one g 249 on it... not the gg249. Is it still a 2 mg pill?

That is interesting. I tried to locate the one you are describing that only has G 249 on it. But I can only find the GG 249 that is 2mg. Did you get your pill from a pharmacy? If so, I would recommend consulting them about the pill difference, as they should have the most up to date information.

GG 249 is 2mg alprazolam manufactured by Sandoz. However it should be rectangular and scored 3 times; blank on the other side. If you look at it vertically, top to bottom, it should have GG -score- 2 -score- 4 -score- and a 9 on the bottom.
If it doesn't fit this exact description be wary, it could be a counterfeit.
