White Pill With 7.5 On One Side And 357 On The Other

I have a white pill with 7.5 on one side & 357 on the other and the pill is not helping my pain. Is this a placebo for Norco 7.5/325?

There's a white oblong pill with "n 357 7.5", that's reportedly identified as generic Acetaminophen (325mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (7.5mg). For verification, it's made by a company called Novel Laboratories, Inc. and carries a National Drug Code of 40032-0357.

You didn't state that there was an "n" on your pill, so I can only assume that it's counterfeit if you didn't get it filled at a licensed pharmacy.

What shape is your pill?

It is a short little fat white oblonge pill has 7.5 on one side the other side it has n then a line clear down the middle of the pill then 357 on other half

This new N 357 pill DOES NOT WORK! If ANYONE is given this med, expect to get NO PAIN relief! It does absolutely NOTHING! My pharmacy gave me these things 2 days ago and I thought "ok, they are different this time". Little did I know they wouldn't work at all!! And I mean AT ALL!! I called the pharmacy the next day when my pain levels are now peaked to tell them this new pill is not effective. Of course they say we cannot take them back and call your doctor to get a new script... in which I did but here it is the Holidays and his office did not contact me back. I have family here and have been trying to cook for 2 days and juggle my pain and I am hardly able to function well or enjoy my family and grandchildren due to the pain I am in. This company needs to be reported for selling us pills that have nothing in them. There is nothing in these pills! If anyone is given these at their pharmacy, give them back right then and there! I have it in my charts from now on to NEVER be given this kind again!! You might as well take nothing, because there is NO DIFFERENCE! I really doubt my doctor will make this better for me so I get to suffer another 27 days till I can get a new script and with so much to do I just don't know how I am going to cope... This should be criminal to sell people meds that do not work at all. Stay away from this ineffective, cheap, placebo brand the pharmacies are giving out!!! I'm so upset and feel so bad with no relief in sight.

I have to say, these generic differences really have me stumped. I take 7.5/325 for chronic pain, and took Watsons until a few months ago. Always worked well, never paid any attention to the manufacturer until I was prescribed some different generics by Amneal. They flat out did nothing. I couldn't believe it, thought it had to be my imagination, so I went through a month of those, too embarrassed to claim they didn't work. But, this month, I started with a different pharmacy and was given the Lupin pills. They work great for me! Made me realize the ineffectiveness of the Amneal pills was not in my imagination. But, so many complaints on here about them! I think it's really strange the different effects these generics have on different people. For those of you who feel the Lupins are ineffective, I sure wouldn't try Amneal...

I have also recently received novel lab Norco at 7.5 strength with the label n 357 and 7.5 on the back. Manufacturer does not even list inactive ingredients on its website or anywhere that I could find and I've never had so much stomach pain from taking pain medicine. I've had chronic back pain all of my life and have taken many different kinds of pain medicine to treat it. Never once have I had this type of reaction which leads me to believe that this particular generic is being produced improperly and there are serious safety issues needing to be addressed. I plan on contacting the manufacturer on Monday and will update this if they actually provide any useful information such as the inactive ingredients in there generic. Those of us with allergies such as celiac disease need to know if the start used you know I medicine contains wheat even though most use cornstarch. I find it very strange that there is so little information available for this specific generic, not to mention it provides little to no pain relief and only stomach pain.

I can't believe that these companies are still messing around with Norco, (or hydrocodone w/ APAP) I had to switch to Percocet 3 years ago because I no longer got any relief from the hydrocodone. Then the same thing started with Percocet (oxycodone) so I finally had my pm doctor write me a prescription for 10 mg oxycodone without the Tylenol and it's very effective. The pills are very small as they don't have any of the BS fillers. I'm sorry to hear all you folks going through this crap. I hope my info helps, and maybe you can request something like I did. Unfortunately there's not a straight up Hydrocodone available except for the extended release Hysingla. But it works very well and comes in 30-120 mgs. I really hope you find something that works, as I know about the frustration on top of the pain that you're experiencing..

What I have found out is that there are people working at pharmacies that are counterfeiting pills and switching them out for the real ones... See the pharmacy doesn't get blamed, the maker does. And these people are selling them out in the streets. These pharmacy techs are the ones.

I agree 100%, this pill doesn’t work. I tell my Dr but he recommended something different but my insurance will not pay for it, so if I want to pay out of pocket or use an Rx savings card it's still too much money. It's all a scam. My family doesn’t believe me when I say it doesn’t help my pain. They just say I've developed a tolerance to pain and to just try over the counter meds. I think the OTC’s are better but I get bad side effects.

There is another Hydrocodone without acetaminophen, other than Hysingla. It's called Zohydro.
