These pills are white, oblong and are scored like gabapentin are. On one side they have a S G and on the other is a 1 78. Are these gabapentin / neurontin?

Yes, this tablet is manufactured by ScieGen Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 800mgs of Gabapentin (NDC 50228-0178). The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, dry mouth, and weight gain. However, there are many oval, white tablets that are scored, so please don't assume that they all contain Gabapentin.

- Poloxamer 407
- Mannitol
- Magnesium Stearate
- Hydroxypropyl Cellulose (Type H)
- Talc
- Copovidone K25-31
- Crospovidone
- Silicon Dioxide
- Hypromelloses

Hi Kathy. Gabapentin, generic Neurontin, is used for treating seizure disorders and some forms of nerve pain. I have nerve pain due to damaged nerves from a bad case of shingles that went undiagnosed. I’ve been taking Neurontin for twenty years now to help control the pain. Hope this answers your question!
